Lou Jones is a Boston-based photographer whose work embraces both commercial and personal projects. He is widely published in such magazines as Time/Life, National Geographic, and Paris Match, and has covered 13 Winter and Summer Olympic Games. He has exhibited at the Smithsonian Institution, the Decordova Museum, the Griffin Museum, and Roxbury Community College, among others, and is noted for recent portraits and documentation for the building and construction trade unions. His current ongoing effort, the Pan Africa Project, photographs contemporary life across Africa, for which he has already traveled to 15 countries.

Jones’s work on American prisoners awaiting execution, from which this JFS portfolio is derived, was published in two editions as Final Exposure: Portraits from Death Row. (Northeastern,1996 and American Friends Service Committee, 2002)
